Position: .NET Developer
Location: High Point, NC

As a developer in our group, you will design, develop, test, and maintain applications; debug and troubleshoot code for existing products; and, provide engineering support to our professional service team. Our solutions are built on SQL Server and WCF web services written in C# - competency in those technologies is a necessity. Experience designing UIs with WPF or the Windows Mobile SDK is also desirable.

Responsibilities: 

  • Contributes to current products in development by adding features and fixing bugs. 
  • Develops new solutions for  individual business' needs  
  • Assists in providing estimates and breaking down features into units of work              
  • Documents developed solutions for internal technical staff
  • Updates job knowledge through team interaction, developer community participation, personal networks, professional organizations, and pursuing educational opportunities
  • Provides support to internal staff and external clients for existing applications             

Education / Experience:

  • 3+ Years of software development experience
  • College or University degree in computer science, information systems or software engineering
  • Microsoft Certifications are a plus, but not required
  • Any Retail / ERP / Point of Sale / Inventory Control / Accounting knowledge
  • Systems integration, customization experience

Required Skills:

  • C# (VB.net is a plus, but not required)

Position: Network/Systems Engineer
Location: High Point, NC

We are looking to fill the position of Network / Systems Engineer in our Platform Services Group. This position is directly responsible for working with our external client base on designing, implementing, and supporting their systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and support Windows / Networking environments for our external client base, including troubleshooting and problem resolution for operating system and hardware issues.
  • Provide Tier 2 & Tier 3 support for Help Desk functions when required.
  • Provide timely reporting on completed tasks as well as potential opportunities for client systems.

Job Requirements (Technical Knowledge):

  • Knowledge of HP Proliant servers, Microsoft operating systems (server and desktop), Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with server builds, deployments, upgrades and migrations is required. Experience with HP Proliant servers a plus.
  • A combination of Microsoft, SonicWall or Cisco certifications is required.
  • Expertise with SonicWall or Cisco firewalls and VPN technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V (maintenance and installs).
  • Data protection (backup and anti-virus systems including, but not limited to, Symantec, CA and Trend Micro).
  • Microsoft Windows-based infrastructure maintenance and support (AD, DHCP, DNS, IIS).

Job Requirements (Non-Technical):

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills, a proactive and detail-oriented approach, a strong team-oriented attitude, and the ability to establish work priorities are required.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn and understand current and evolving technologies both at a high level and at a detailed level.
  • Ability to communicate and problem solve efficiently and effectively with identified customers and IT personnel to ensure the implementation of accurate processes.
  • College degree in Computer Science or MIS or equivalent work experience required.
  • 5+ years of field experience within a Microsoft Windows, networked environment.

Travel:
This position is based out of our High Point, NC office, but some of their time will be spent out of the office and onsite with clients. The ability to travel throughout NC and surrounding states is required with occasional overnight travel as needed.

Employment Type:
This is a Full-Time position. Normal business hours are from 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday. Due to the nature of the business, availability outside of normal business hours is sometimes required. Additionally, the Network Engineer is required to be available for Emergency Support one week per month.

Position(s): Retail Technology Sales
Location: Multiple Positions Available - High Point, NC; Louisville, KY; Memphis, TN

We are looking for direct sales representatives to market and sell point of sale (POS) solutions to retailers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate business through established and approved creative methods of lead generation
  • Acquire a strong understanding of the hardware and software products that we sell along with the ability to communicate and demonstrate these abilities to potential customers
  • Effectively communicate and develop rapport with potential customers
  • Evaluate customer's existing and potential software needs and make recommendations
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales goals as established by local market
  • Independently establish and organize daily sales activities
  • Report on all daily activity, contacts, sales, presentations, follow-up program, etc

Requirements:

Position: Project Manager
Location: High Point, NC or Louisville, KY

We are looking to fill the position of Project Manager in our Technical Services Group. This position is responsible for planning, execution, and managing projects utilizing Accelerando’s project management methodologies. This will include projects for customers as well as internal projects for Accelerando.

Duties:
Project Management

  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects for NCR/Radiant Systems CounterPoint, Microsoft Dynamics, and Microsoft Platform products using Accelerando defined Project Management methodologies
  • Facilitate the definition of projects, goals, tasks, and resource requirements
  • Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within a project
  • Utilize pre-defined methodologies to track and report against projects.
  • Seek to improve processes and gain efficiencies through process improvement
  • Proactively communicate issues, concerns, or updates to the project team
  • Plan, schedule, and lead regular project review meetings
  • Manage budget, track hours, and report on project metrics

Client Management

  • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
  • Manage day-to-day client  interaction
  • Manage client expectations
  • Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
  • Memorialize project-related communications and meetings through written documentation

Skills/Qualifications/Certifications:

  • Four year degree in Business Management, Technology, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in managing IT projects to include ERP & Platform systems. Project Management certification is a plus
